Small hotels

11th December 2011, 13:13

Last thing lacking in London is accommodation! London is one of the most sought after destinations in the world and offers all types and sorts of accommodation from renting out a room to thye most luxurious hotels. What would be the trend for accommodation availability and prices for the 2012 games will be seen later so we still don't know if it will be difficult ot find a place but the suggestion can only be to book in advance. Here is a London hotel directory which is quite interesting because it lists small hotels which very often are not listed in the usual hotel booking websites nor in the usual hotel search websites.

Not heard of HotelBeam before so thank you for the recommendation. I tend to use Holiday Reviews - Hotels, Resorts and Holiday Packages - TripAdvisor quite a lot nowadays which has information on large and smaller run hotels, together with reviews posted by users who have had experience of the hotels for themselves.

I tend to read many of the reviews posted on tripadvisor before making a decision to ensure it's not just one winger moaning about the service, or heaven forbid, either a rival slagging off a hotel, or the owner writing up his or her own review of the service provided.

You can normally tell how good or bad the hotel is by the number of good or bad reviews posted.

Fully agree, you need to develop your own system or method to discern what can be relevant and what is just misleading but in the end Tripadvisor is still a good tool to start from.

I wouldn't be surprised if the number of flights out of London increase in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics as more people choose to avoid the guaranteed chaos.

A friend of mine recommended a very interesting website offering some very competitive prices on holidays abroad called Cheap Holidays | Cheap Holiday Deals | Cheap Holiday Offers | icelolly, I've not actually booked a holiday on the site but it is certainly very easy to use and the prices for a holiday in the sun do look very appealing.
