I'm going to have to take some time out to travel down to London this year and make a special trip into Hamleys, it's the kid inside me

I went when in London with my family for our pre-Xmas trip last weekend...it is without a doubt the most magical place but man, it was PACKED!!!!! I normally let the kids buy one thing each from the store but this time we just rushed round each floor and left as quickly as possible!

I actually spotted a few local stores actually promoting Christmas last week (as in September) which does seem like a great shame to me because I think the build up to Christmas ought to start in October or perhaps a little later when the nights close in and become somewhat colder than the summer months.

There is something very special about Christmas, especially for the kids as well as us younger adults!

Hamleys is one of those stores that will always be a part of Christmas in my eyes, and to any parents whom haven't been able to see for themselves what Hamleys have to offer, their website is certainly an eyeopener.
