Commuters coaxed to London sights
19th September 2005, 06:54
Tube and bus passengers are being offered discounts at top attractions as part of a campaign to tempt visitors back after the 7 July London bombings.
The scheme is part of the Mayor of London's multi-million pound campaign to boost economic recovery in the city.
From Monday commuters can get deals at 50 venues across London when they show their tickets.
"Everyone's London" was launched earlier in the month with a weekend of cultural events.
Funding for the campaign, run by the mayor's tourist organisation Visit London and Transport for London, is coming from the mayor's budget and some private companies.
Visit London is also running a campaign aimed at boosting visitor numbers during September.
It is distributing more than a million copies of a mini-guide listing the city's attractions and events.
