Designers sought for graphics work at 2012 Olympic Park

17th November 2011, 10:31

The Olympic Park Legacy Company is setting up a framework to cover design work, including graphics, for the London 2012 Olympic Park.

As well as calling for architects and landscape designers, the OPLC is also seeking to set up a panel - featuring between three and six consultancies - dealing with visualisation and graphics.

This work would be in support of the OPLC’s marketing and communications works and would include projects such as design reports, brochures and prospectuses, as well as digital designs and animations.

As well as the graphic design lot, there are also lots dealing with urban design and architecture and landscape design.

The four-year framework will be be worth between £1m and £4m in total.

Kathryn Firth, chief of design at the OPLC, says, ‘This is an exciting opportunity for organisations to help shape one of the most important regeneration projects of the century.

‘Legacy plans for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are more advanced than any other previous host city and we want to ensure that design is at the core of these plans.’

The deadline for the application of submissions is 28 November 2011.
