I find it quite disappointing that the earlier app has been deleted, yet London 2012 don't actually have an official app to replace it with, smacks of someone being very spiteful

This App is an unofficial guide to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It has a self contained database with Regular and Paralympic Games, Venues and time table. The App has a Countdown clock as well as Search to find details on schedule, dates, times and venues .The app has 29 maps to help you find your way to all your favorite venues using the London tube and bus. Included are details such as the toilet facilities, step free, bicycles tube maps and more.

LondonOlympicAPP, it looks like a nice iPhone and iPad app you have provided, have you uploaded a video onto YouTube to promote your app?

And watch out because it looks like London 2012 legals are having unofficial apps deleted from the Apple app store which is a real shame when you consider these apps were uploaded by London 2012 enthusiasts and LOCOG haven't actually provided any type of alternative.

I have no idea why LOCOG have decided to have these unofficial apps deleted from the Apple iTunes store because these apps would have provided a very useful service to visitors travelling to London with their iPhones. Apart from which, if LOCOG are unable to provide an official London 2012 app due to their deal with Samsung they are just cutting off their nose to spite their face.

I notice you are based in the US, perhaps the laws in the US will prohibit LOCOG from deleting your app due to freedom of expression. Might be worth a million dollar legal claim for breach of your rights

This App is a unofficial guide to the London 2012 Olympics and Paraympics games. It has a completely self contained database with no connections to the Internet.

Some wireless companies are charging $ 24.99 for 50 mb. Many of the so called free London Apps do not work when there is no connection to the Internet. Some of the free apps have 2 advertising bars one at the top and one at the bottom. Very annoying.

This app has 5 main tabs.

Countdown tab
Shows the time remaining until the summer games in London 2012 begins

Sports Tab
Shows Regular and Para Sport Details.
Each sport has details on key facts, basics of the game and a short history lesson on how the sport got incorporated into the summer games. There are details on 38 sports for the regular games and 21 sports for the Para games.

Venues tab
There are three main locations where the games will be held. Olympic Park, London and out of London. There are several venues under each location. Under Olympic Park sub tab there are 9 venues. Under London sub tab there are 13 venues. Under Out of London sub tab there are 9 venues. Each Venue will have details on whether the venue is new or existing, pictures, a map, what games are going to be played at that location, what will happen to the venue after the games are over etc.

Search tab
This tab will help you find details on the schedule, dates, times and venues for any sport in the regular or para games. Pick just the sport in either regular or para category and touch search. Or touch the sport and date or touch the sport, date and venue and find what you need. This powerful database will help you find the information you want without accessing the Internet.

Maps tab
There are 29 maps to help you find your way to all your favorite venues using the London tube system. Included are details such as the toilet facilities, step free, bicycles tube maps and more. You are able to expand or reduce the maps by pinching open or close.
