Hey, Richard
Yes apologies it is my site, and no its not a spam site trying to sell Viagra
My site is a genuine site that was built as part of my major at university. I built the site because i believe that there is not enough information out there about the up and coming Olympics in London. TFL have spent millions on expanding carriages etc however nothing i can see has been put forward to help the 800,000 tourists arriving in London in 2012. if more people knew exactly where they were heading and could have this information at hand before they travel and during, I believe the process of traveling to Olympics would be greatly improved.
I believe my site is better in some ways, like for example on the TFL site if the user speak another language, he/she has to download a pdf explaining the map and information in their language. On ITUBE there are 5 languages available at a click of a button and the sure is not taken to a separate page. the map is truly interactive.
...anyway yes ITUBE is an interactive London underground tube map which is very versatile in functionality. The user can choose what information can be viewed on the map at a click of a button, such as zones, toilets and other facilities. This was to solve the "cluttered" map issue that TFL have struggled with in the recent years.
Apart from other cool functionality such as journey planner, zoom, live search and being able to save a picture to the users computer of the map at any state on the screen. The main purpose is to show where each Olympic venue is according to the tube map and nearby stations and there is also an option to see these venues geographically using Google maps.
You can also view top tourists destinations and see where each Olympic event will be held, visually representing the location on the tube map.
Long winded I know and apologies for going about it the wrong way, just most other forums don't allow it. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell you more about Itube.
So here's the link and check it out for yourself;
