I was a little concerned over your use of username - I thought you might have been promoting some other non-Olympic and unwanted websites, though was pleasantly surprised to see www.morethanthegames.co.uk is posting sports news & blogs from the UK press - hope you remember to promote our UNOFFICIAL London 2012 Olympics forum on your website if you have the time

Your site reminds me a little of www.insidethegames.co.uk as founded by our hero journalist Duncan Mackay who was (his words) the UK Sports Journalist of the Year in 2004 for his ground-breaking stories from the Athens Olympics. As well as insidethegames, his work appears weekly in The Observer and he is a regular guest on Sky News, BBC News 24, BBC World, Sky Sports News and BBC Radio 5 as well as several radio and television stations abroad. Nothing quite like blowing your own trumpet Duncan - though credit due he is an astonishingly good journalist!

The whole purpose of this UNOFFICIAL London 2012 Olympics forum is to reach out to a wider audience and promote the London 2012 Olympic games wherever and whenever possible.

For anyone interested in the London 2012 Olympic games, the official website is of course www.london2012.com which provides a great deal of information on the London 2012 games, and has far more detail available than we could ever hope to provide.

As the date for the London 2012 Olympics grows ever closer on a daily basis, so more and more websites and people will leap onto the London 2012 bandwagon hoping to prosper from the spotlight on the 2012 games, and good luck to them all is what I say considering how much of taxpayer money is now involved.

It would of course be a very kind gesture on your part if you were to provide a reciprocal link from your site to ours.

Thanks for the plug Richard - however, insidethegames.co.uk has never been anything to do with Duncan Mackay as that url was taken long before London 2012 was dreamed of!
