BACKERS of London's efforts to stage the 2012 Olympics have promised great opportunities will arise for businesses.
Some research suggests the Games will attract additional spending by visitors of £187 million and the event will create a workforce of 67,000 people.
Now the London Assembly want to hear from business owners or anyone who has a view about the impact on local firms and the opportunities arising from the Olympics.
Can you take advantage of such opportunities? Are you concerned large multinational companies will squeeze you out? What help and support are needed for you to fairly compete? These are just some of the questions that need looking at.
A spokesman said: "The London Assembly is keen to ensure that people in Newham are given a fair chance to compete for the business and job opportunities that the Games are expected to bring."
