London City Mayor Ken Livingstone on Thursday invited the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to participate in the development of Olympic Village for the Olympic-2012, reports BDNews.
"Bangladeshi entrepreneurs can be able to purchase lands, set up stalls and market their products at the Olympic premises," Livingstone said at the opening session of the "Expo-Bangladesh-2005" in London.
Livingstone said he would ensure that Bangladeshi entrepreneurs are able to participate in the construction works of the Olympic Village.
He hoped that the first-ever Bangladeshi product fair at London would help raising bilateral trade between the two countries.
The three-day single-country trade fair started Thursday in London as part of the drive by the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to expand market to Europe.
London-based Bangladesh-British Chamber of Commerce (BBCC) organiz ed the show in cooperation with the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Bangladesh High Commission in Britain.
Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Choudhury inaugurated the fair. High officials of the British government and entrepreneurs also attended the function.

The products include RMG, home textiles, textile fabrics, ceramics, handloom, furniture, herbal medicine, pharmaceuticals, handicraft items, footwear, orchid, food items, real estate, imitations, and jute and plastic products. Three seminars will also be held during the fair on promotion of business in certain sectors.
