PR company tells rhythmic gymnasts to be quiet
7th February 2012, 06:59
Britain’s rhythmic gymnastics team, still smarting after failing to make their self-imposed qualifying mark for the London 2012 Olympics, have been stopped from talking about their appeal against the decision by gymnastics officials.
The process for the appeal to be heard is as twisted as the knot that appeared in the ribbon section of the team’s performance at the Olympic trials.
Neither British Gymnastics nor the rhythmic gymnastics publicist will confirm who will hear the appeal, nor how many people will be on the panel, after both parties agreed to a confidentiality deal.
Gymnastics insiders believe the case will go to arbitration but they, too, have been silenced lest it impact on the appeal’s success.

Someone who was there at the time, reported to me,while all the other teams were very focused throughout, The GB Team seemed more interested in their mobile phones!
